If you go to the Embrace, the scrapper site in the far west there is two piles of ancient debris that holds purple mods. Loot the piles, save your game at the nearby campfire and run back and repeat. It works indefinitely.

Thanks for this. I had finished the game and just finished crafting the over rides on the last group after finishing all the cauldrons. Was down to 114 shards and still needed to do some upgrading of weapons and outfits. Good news was I already had the bow. Unfortunately it had been entirely upgraded even though I never use it. Pulled off the coil and they gave me back the shards and a couple of materials for it. Then I bought and sold the $149 Whisper Bow over and over and finally have over 3000 shards now. I kept the bow just in case I run out of shards again. Since I don't use it I'll put it in my stash so it's there if I need to go "farming" again. BIG THANKS!!

After getting the 5th power cell I was unable to fast travel out of that location. I had to back track and once I rode my mount through the wall area I could fast travel again.

May 2024 here....Still Works Like a Charm ......Quick tip, when trying the graveyard glitch, and you have another armour and bow on aside from the outcast and nora brave it doesn't really work, so please equip any of the outfits and hunter bow first before trying When I got the armour I was destroying ravagers and tramplers like they were nothing....Wanna try it out on Behemoths and Thunderjaws soon...
